This Bloody pays homage to Japanese cuisine with sake, ginger and wasabi for distinctive flavor. Top with skewers of Asian-inspired bites, like California rolls or vegetable dumplings for an impressively unique Bloody Mary experience.
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon liquid from jarred pickled ginger or lime juice
Pour 1 teaspoon pickled ginger liquid into a shallow dish. Stir the ginger, sugar, salt and sesame seeds on a plate. Dip the rims of 2 glasses into the pickled ginger liquid then coat with the ginger mixture. Fill the glasses with ice.
Stir the vegetable juice, sake, vodka, soy sauce, wasabi, celery salt and remaining pickled ginger liquid in a pitcher. Season to taste. Pour the vegetable juice mixture into the glasses.
Serving Suggestion: Garnish with skewers of Asian-inspired bites, like California rolls, pickled ginger, strips of cucumber and/or vegetable dumplings.
